Overall an OK experience.
-Room to yourself
-Pre-Furnished, don't need to bring much aside from maybe a mini fridge for convenience, but not necessary
-Door right next to room for easy access
-6 minute drive to Metro Station
-Good price for rent
-Close to a lot of places to shop, including trader joes, Whole Foods, giant, and multiple Safeways
-Hoa is a nice person who means well
-Kitchen in basement doesn't have a stove or oven, need to ask to use the upstairs kitchen a day in advance
-In the winter, it gets very cold when the heater is off, and almost too warm when it's on
-Bugs - LOTS of bugs. Would find spiders, moths, centipedes and other bugs in the halls, basement and in room. Had to buy a can of spray to keep in the room
-This room is directly under hers, and apparently noise travels very easy. Even the slightest noise past 10pm (including opening and closing the closet door) can be heard. Frequently was told I was too loud for whispering
-Reiterating on previous point, there is no feeling of privacy because of this, and it feels like all of your phone calls can be heard throughout the house
-She has her family over a lot, which is fine, but the kids tend to run around the house and make a lot of noise, which is a shame given how quiet you're expected to be
-Tried to charge me after I left for cleaning the room, even though I cleaned the room before leaving.
